PROJECT MASQARAM
Collection Masqaram is a unique fusion of traditional Uzbek and European clothing, merging male and female fashion elements. This blend symbolizes my personal protest against the restrictions on gender and cultural expression in Uzbekistan. In the eyes of the Uzbek community, this unconventional mix, which subtly challenges societal norms, is often viewed with a sense of amusement or as whimsical.
In each look I tried to show unique mix of women’s and men’s body characteristics as here showing uzbek traditional pants cut from traditional male and female fabrics
Traditional Uzbek women's pants are combined with a jester's silhouette, while blue and pink are incorporated throughout the collection to challenge conventional gender stereotypes.
